The Civil Celebrant | Home

We wanted to say the most sincerest thank you. You enhanced our day so much. Your professionalism, assertiveness, knowledge and organisation was just perfect! Your ability to create and deliver such a memorable and touching ceremony and make us so at ease is a true testament to you working in a profession so suited to you! Everyone was singing (justifiable!) your praises afterwards. I wish you nothing but the greatest success in the future and I’d recommend your services in a heartbeat to anyone who would be requiring them!

Welcome to The Civil Celebrant.  My name is Simone Walsh, a civil family and funeral celebrant based in Co. Dublin, Ireland.

What I do: I perform civil ceremonies, that is: baby naming ceremonies, weddings, vow renewals, funerals and memorial services.

What is a civil ceremony? A civil ceremony is not based on any religion or faith. The ceremony is created just for you.  It can be held in any location and involve as many or as little people as you would like. You are welcome to include prayers or hymns in the ceremony, but I am not able to perform any sacraments or similar religious rituals.

How do we get started? Please contact me via the contact panel at the bottom of the page, email me at hello@thecivilcelebrant.ie or phone +353 (0) 877813594. I will  answer any questions you might have and then arrange to meet with you and go through all the elements of the ceremony.  Each ceremony I create is bespoke and made just for you or your loved one.

What happens next? That all depends on the type of ceremony you are having.  Please use the tabs above, where the different ceremonies are outlined in detail. Please feel free to look through my website and check out The Civil Celebrant blog for lots of great ideas!
