If you are looking for a really unique unity ceremony, have a read of this wonderful idea from Unity In Glass…

 A little while ago I cam across a company named Unity In Glass, who are based in Texas, USA Here’s what they do:

Together with you, as you kick off the creative process as a beautiful and unique part of your ceremony, we create a highly personalised work of art to remember your wedding day for a lifetime.”

In a nut shell Unity In Glass send you glass crystals in colours of your choosing. The crystals are used in your unity ceremony, in the same way as you would sand.  After the ceremony  you send the crystals back to Unity In Glass and they create a personal glass piece for you to treasure.

Unity In Glass – here is how it works:

1. Choose either a sculpture, vase, or bowl that will be hand crafted for you, after your wedding.

2. Select your glass crystal colors which will be shipped for use in your ceremony. Colors are shipped in individual packets. 

3. Combine the glass crystals during your ceremony, much like you would with a sand ceremony.

4. Using the included prepaid mailer, return the unified glass crystals to us after your wedding. (International customers will need to provide postage)

5. Once received, our artist creates your glass art with the crystals from your ceremony. Your finished art is then carefully packaged and shipped to you within 2-6 weeks.

Not sure what colours to use?  Check out this blog post, where you are brought through the different colour combinations and (what I think is really great!) the ratio of colours that you should use to get the best results and most vibrant colours. The good news is they ship to Ireland, but you will have to pay to post the crystals back to Unity in Glass, who are based in the USA.  All the details you will need are on the the Unity In Glass website.
